February 2015 Caribbean Cruise

Enjoyed the itinery and the entertainment on board, did not enjoy the standard of service in the dining room, in the bars and the general cleanliness of the Ship. We have been on Azura on six occasions and the standards on board have gradually deteriorated. Some parts of the Ship were dirty, the self service dining room being one of them. P&O have reduced the number of waiters in the select dining rooms and as a consequence it was taking one and three quarter hours to eat a three coarse dinner, we had to decline coffee if we wanted a seat in the theatre. Every day the dress code was stated in the Horizon paper and every day it was ignored. The black and white formal night is the highlight of the cruise when people dress up, as we entered the dining room that evening the man in front of us was wearing jeans and a bomber jacket, nothing was said by the officers apart from “have a good evening”. Men wearing shorts and tee shirts were also seen in the theatre, again nothing said. The comment “It’s like Benidorm at sea” was often heard. We will avoid Azura in future.
