February Azura Caribbean
Christopher Hirst | June 2, 2015 | P&O Cruises | Azura
Have recently returned from a 2-week Caribbean cruise on Azura. The cruise was good, as were the destinations, and the travel and transfer arrangements excellent.
I believe Azura is due a refit and it shows in some of the frayed carpet edges in corridors and lifts. However, that is a minor thing. The service on board was generally good, particularly in the restaurants and from our cabin stewardess. The food was generally good without setting the world alight but, hey, catering for nearly 3,500 people cannot be easy. Did not eat in the feature restaurants, ie Sindhu, Seventeen, The Glasshouse, etc., because I do not believe in being charged extra coverage for food when I consider the cruise price should cover this. Just put an extra ?5 or ?10 on the price.
My main gripe was being unable to get Freedom Dining even though I booked last July as it was fully subscribed. When fully subscribed the option should be removed from the Cruise Personaliser or it should state that the option is no longer available.
That said, it did not detract from an lovely holiday.
