Finally got the entertainment right!
thompson | March 22, 2015 | P&O Cruises | Azura
I love P and O cruises, but over the last few years the entertainment has been lacklustre and dated. Not this time! Although it had a celebrity headliner (Alfie Boe) who was more than excellent, the other entertainment was also good…fast moving headliner shows, a comedian who struck the right balance between traditional and edgy . There was a nice balance too in the other show venues, making the ship feel balanced and not overfull.
The service as always was excellent, and the food delicious (yes portions are smaller, but that is no bad thing!), and the trips in the port were interesting (we went to Ypres). We were lucky that we had been on an organised trip, as we were an hour and a half late back…the whole ship seemed to be hanging over the side as we ran to the gangplank, which was attatched to the crane ready to go.
Our first mini cruise, and really enjoyed it!
