Good and bad

After cruising since 1996 and 27 cruises mainly with P&O it was below my expectations. There was only 1 show an Elton John tribute which was brilliant. I had seen the Headliners show on Iona in July. Boogie Nights which I booked never appeared at all. Manhattan lounge is where most nights were spent listening to Pulse who were sometimes good and other nights quite bad. Both myself and my companion had our hair washed and blow dried. We were both very disappointed and rate the stylists poor. All they want to do is sell you expensive products. The Meridian dining room was also good and bad. Menu choices were poor, with long waiting times for food. We purchased a wine package and our wine was eventually brought to our table where we had to pour our own wine even though there were plenty of waiters standing around doing nothing. On purchasing the wine pack we were told we could use it in any bar on the ship, however, this was not the case. My cabin steward Mira was excellent as was my cabin. The same old problem with sun beds was apparent and even though towels etc were left for over an hour nothing was done. It was the same every day. I’m not sure if or when I will book with P&O as all the niceties seem to have gone. Covid can’t be blame for everything.
