Holiday to the Canaries on Azura

This was our first experience with P and O. We travelled from Southampton on the Azura to the Canaries on April 19 2015. We were disappointed after hearing good reviews about other P and O ships from our friends and neighbours. The Azura has several restaurants which gave waiter service and these were fine BUT the buffet restaurant was badly laid out and everyone was constantly dodging other passengers with their trays. The waiters in the Veneza and Venetia were often seen in groups talking to each other. None of them asked if you would like a drink with your meal and they seemed to lack direction from anyone in charge.
On several occasions there were enormous queues to disembark; the queues went along passage ways and many passengers became disgruntled at having to wait so long. When we were waiting to disembark at the end of the trip we had to sit in the theatre for 2 hours before joining yet another queue to leave the ship.
We have travelled with other cruise lines but have never had to complaint like this before.
We will have to think long and hard before booking another holiday with P and O.
