My Azura experience
Colin West | July 30, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Azura
This is the first time I have sailed on Azura and it was a lovely experience. I loved the ship and probably together with Aurora, the best two ships from the P&O fleet on which I have sailed. I liked the atrium very much, the theatre was excellent and the choice of entertainment also excellent.
Having said all that I did find some things annoying. Female toilets near the theatre were very sparse, especially to cater at times for eight hundred guests. Formal nights should mean formal nights! Two guests appeared in shirts, not tucked in, and were told by the Maitre D’ to go away. They returned with jackets at which they promptly removed at the table. After that the Maitre D’ was powerless! I applauded him personally about his actions but as he said, he had to avoid a confrontation – fair comment. The price of an excursion I went on was excessive. I know Norway is an expensive country but the excursion ‘Norway in a Nutshell’ was over-priced! The lunch, typically Norwegian cuisine, particularly was disappointing.
