Nice ship shame about the customer service

Our cruise began on Star Wars Day (May the 4th). This was also the date that gratuities and the service charge were no longer charged and what a difference it made to the customer service. Our cabin steward never introduced himself once during the cruise and when asked if we could have some envelopes he just shrugged his shoulders. We always tip the cabin steward irrespective of gratuities but not this time. We waited two hours one evening before being served with drinks and there were several occasions where bar staff bordered on being rude. The food was better on this ship than some of P & O ships I’ve been on but the entertainment was poor. I’ve never known trays, plates, cups etc being left on tables for any length of time but on here they were. To the point that we could see a Maitre D having a go at the staff for not clearing tables. The dance floor was almost non existent it was so small and at the bottom of the stairs in the Atrium so if you enjoy dancing this isn’t the ship for you. Thank goodness for quizzes or we would have been stumped for things to do. For the whole week I didn’t find a comfortable chair to sit in, they were rock hard. The dress code is none existent with shorts being worn in the Lido and the bars in the evening. This will be my last excursion on a P & O cruise.
