Home Cruise Reviews Centre P&O Cruises Azura Not the best
Not the best
Pat Hodgkinson | June 30, 2015 | P&O Cruises | Azura
Although we enjoyed the cruise and the destinations, we found the Azura to be the least enjoyable of all the cruise ships we have sailed on. We were 2nd sitting in the Oriental dining room and found it to be quite a stressful experience. The wine waiters no longer serve drinks, it is left to the waiters who were inexperienced in serving drinks, they were stressed trying to take menu selections and also serve wine. On a number of occasions we had to make a choice whether to stay for coffee or leave to get to the 10.30 pm theatre show and as a result some of the shows we missed altogether. One evening it took 45 minutes before we got our ‘starters’. Also the food was not as hot as it could have been.
In our opinion it would be better if the theatre Shows could be timed at 7.30 pm for 2nd sitting diners and 8.45 pm for 1st sitting diners, 10.30 pm is too late. This would then give passengers the opportunity to see entertainment in the other venues throughout the ship. Needless to say this is the first and last time we would consider a cruise on the Azura.
