Tony Pusey | February 2, 2019 | P&O Cruises | Azura
On this occasion the Azura was a cross between an overloaded human cargo ship and a post ww 2 holiday camp. The dress code was for the most part, ignored. Not nearly enough lounge areas and the Java coffee shop was often used purely as a reading library. The food and Staff were excellent, however the silly cover charges at certain restaurants need to be adjusted…..down! Drink prices as usual high. P&O need to find a better way of promoting the gratuity service charge as it appears to defeat it’s objective and causes a certain amount of resentment. My cabin had a couple of maintenance issues which were dealt with eventually….couldn’t open the balcony door because of high winds…..really, you just couldn’t make it up! (Reception) All in all P&O standards are slipping fast and becoming Americanized. (All about money a n d profit) On a good note, my Wife and I have booked the Azura again for n ext year.
