P & O cruises – COVID still around
Stuart | November 5, 2022 | P&O Cruises | Azura
This cruise on Azura and our next cruise on Arvia in January has seen P&O change our SELECT booked balcony cabin. On this occasion just 2 weeks before sailing we were given a cabin at the very rear of the ship facing backwards – We would have never have chosen such a cabin !
After much beating of the drum on the third day of the cruise we were moved to a deluxe balcony which we ultimately discovered had COVID quarantine cabins immediately above. Having spent time on the balcony with COVID cases above us discussing their plight with neighbours, my wife succumbed to the virus some four days later.
In my opinion COVID protocols are too lax – An example is that in the buffet there is no staff member ensuring that your hands are gelled.
In our opinion P&O standards are slipping.
