Peninsula cocktail party

Returned home recently from the Transatlantic crossing from the Caribbean. Had a good time on the cruise, however I found that the ships standards are dropping.
A great disappointment I had was that I did not receive my invitation to the captains peninsula cocktail party. It was stated on my arrival that I would receive an invitation a couple of days before the event. Never received the invitation. I did receive a bottle of Champagne & a box of chocolates as a good will gesture, but I would have preferred the invitation.
We was 3 days in the cruise before we received a chocolate at the end of the day in our cabin. The entertainment on the ship was mostly performed by the crew. Where as the fantastic entertainment gone.!!!
