P&O standards slipping

Azura was not for us compared to the rest of the P&O fleet but that’s personal choice only. We have not been with P&O for 3 years and unfortunately it appears that they are trying to remain competitive with their prices but in order to do this they are having to make some cuts. No longer are the vegetables served to you by the waiter for your main meal in the main restaurants but everything is plated up in the kitchens, the portion sizes are relatively small. I don’t know if the sommeliers have to wait on more tables than before but we were well into our meal before the bottle of wine was bought to our table. We were not offered brandies etc to go with cheese and coffee. Drinks waiters on deck only appear to cover the main areas now and not those sunbathing along the starboard and port sides.
This is a relatively new ship again there appear to have been some little cuts during the build as well i.e.: in the theatre there are no drinks table rests in the arm of your seat to place your drinks on when watching the production. The atrium in the other ships really have a wow factor, no such wow here, only that of disappointment. Don’t get me wrong, we still had a lovely holiday and these are only minor issues and there are more I could go into but won’t but we are comparing this cruise to our previous cruises on P&O and it just wasn’t as good and we won’t be cruising with them again.
