Poor service not a great advertisement to encourage people to book with [email protected]

Wanted to try P&O and this seemed a good sampler. If we hadn’t been cruising with RCC and Princess Cruises, we would have been put off cruising.
Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Had great concerns about whether we would be able to go ashore at Guernsey in light of immediate previous reviews who did not. Because of thig fog on day thought for one minute the tender was to be recalled. Fortunately it managed to find the harbour . If difficulties with weather affecting “tender” operations, why go there in difficult weather?
Freedom dining wants sorting out. If informed you can go any time and get a table for two, an hours wait is unexceptable. Not everyone wants to sit on tables of 6 or 8 and then wait for everyone to finish each course. Why they put a smart casual dress on for the last night baffled us. Cases had to be packed and put outside cabins by 8.30 pm. We went to the buffet for an Indian Themed meal instead casually dressed.
Food was generally hot but limited menus choices. Bar prices not much different from high street pubs. TV in cabin only news channels for general use. A film channel poor choices of films some of which are free but you have to purchase!!
Ship clean throughout
If P&O want these sampler cruises to show off how good their cruises are, then their staff must show more interest and friendliness to passengers. In a nut shell be like their sister cruise line Princess Cruises
