Shame about food quality

Done a Caribbean cruise at this time on a regular basis so generally know what to expect from the P & O package (which is gradually going down market). Service standards still good but main criticism is the poor quality (and to a lesser extent) presentation in the main restaurant (Meridian in our case). After experiencing a very poor quality steak and then a very bland piece of pork we thereafter used the buffet and beach house for evening meals and these venues were good.
Everything else generally ‘same as’ but nowadays enforcement of any sort of dress code (and I do not mean formal nights in particular) is almost non-existent. Guess one gets what you pay for these days and we have found a Celebrity Cruise line better of late. A continuing trend is that in P & O Bars you are brought large measures (and charged accordingly) when not requested and more than once I picked up on this and refused the higher cost.
Be prepared to manage your expectations.
