Standards seem to have dropped in 6 months!

This was our 2nd cruise in 6 months with P & O and standards have dropped, sadly. The first thing we discovered that there were no bathrobes or slippers although we actually had a better class of cabin than on our first cruise and this time I had not brought a robe or slippers as we had them on the last cruise but I was told that P & O had stopped giving them on cabins with balconies, they were only for suites or better accommodation. Annoying! Secondly, the shower room was smaller than we had on the previous cruise and I had expected it to be the same size as we had previously not had a cabin with a balcony and this was meant to be a larger cabin. The food was definitely not as good on Azura as it had been on the Oriana. Also as keen dancers, the dance floor was like being in a fish tank as it was in the atrium with people watching from 3 levels as opposed to a designated ballroom – again a very small dancefloor which was very crowded at times. On the plus side the teachers, Kath and Bob were excellent and we enjoyed our lessons with them. The crew and service were very good although as mentioned previously the standard of food was definitely a notch below the Oriana with the soup always being totally tasteless. The only time the food was excellent was when we visited the 3 named restaurants for which you paid a supplement. They were each in their way very good indeed. Overall, we were disappointed with our P & O experience. Just a mention though that the entertainment on board was very good, in particular the Headliners.
