Bad ship design
patricia bates | October 24, 2017 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
The cruise itself on Britannia was excellent and the staff were very good. Our disappointment was in the ship’s design. There was no promenade deck as on other P & O ships on deck 7 – only a very short distance round part of the ship on deck 18, where it was constantly blowing a gale. Due to there being no external promenade area on deck 7 the internal public walkways were always extremely crowded. Also it was very difficult to get around in the mid-ship area due to no staircase beyond deck 7, so you had to take the lifts, even to go up just one floor. These are serious design faults in my opinion and I shall not sail on Britannia again for these reasons.
