Britannia around Iberia
Peter Bond | January 17, 2017 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
Britannia is a large ship but absorbs over 3000 passengers well. There is always space to sit, dine, sunbathe. The decor is excellent. Bright and modern.
Lifts are a problem, often full making waiting frustrating. Boarding at ports of call is well organised. Crew, especially restaurant and cabin staff excellent. Meals in main Oriental restaurant rather too exotic. Problem with so called celebrity chefs perhaps.
Large ships contain over 4000 passengers and crew inundate small towns and islands. Some ports now see up to four ships visiting at the same time unloading perhaps 12000 people. This comes with the inevitable berthing a long way from sites necessitating the use of shuttle buses.
On the whole a nice ship with excellent facilities and crew but perhaps a little too big.
