Caribbean Cruise Dec15
Alan Dell | March 23, 2016 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
We have just returned from Caribbean n cruise on P&O Britannia. Largest ship in the P&O fleet. Overall the ship was very good but their were some things that P&O need to address for future cruises on this ship.
The main complaints were the fact their were no stairs in middle of ship where Atrium situated and where our cabin was. The lifts did become an issue for many of the people on our cruise. Also the fact that although the daily newsletter states very clearly no reserving of of sun beds by putting towels on them. This happened and people were up from as early as 5am reserving their beds to get the particular spot they wanted. If you went down for breakfast around 8am many of the sun beds had already been snapped up with towels on them. This needs some form of policing by P& O staff to eradicate this happening. People reserving sun beds on a port day and then not using beds until they returned back on the ship later in the afternoon is not acceptable or fair to other passengers trying to find a sun bed. Also P&O need to have less chairs and tables scattered around and more sun beds for passengers to use.
The balconies on this ship are definitely smaller than the older ships Ventura or Oceana. But on the other hand the balcony cabin we had was much nicer and had a proper shower enclose with Good powerful shower. For spots fans P&O have now put Sky sports news and another sports channel showing the latest sports events plus BBC international news. Also had a much bigger flat screen TV .
The ship hands all latest technology fitted. The grab and go food cabinet by the bar near pools was well stocked during our cruise and was very handy for snacking if you didn’t want big meal during day.
If P& O get the niggling problems sorted this ship will be up their with the best of them.
