Caribbean introduction
L Bennett | March 13, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
A number of firsts – the Caribbean in our winter, Britannia & more importantly first cruise for our friend on the occasion of her 70th birthday.
The Caribbean islands their people & the temperatures lived up to our expectations despite the odd tropical shower.
Our friend went on the cruise as a sceptic & ended as a convert – the staff in the Oriental restaurant really ensured she enjoyed her birthday dinner.
The Brittania staff were very good especially those looking after us in the Oriental. However my wife & I felt the ship didn’t ‘flow’ – no deck that let you stroll around the complete ship on the outside, promenade deck was only half the ship & most annoyingly having to go to deck 7 to get down to the Oriental on deck 6. The selection in the buffet nowhere near as good as on Celebrity. Balcony cabin adequate but balcony very small.
