I was disappointed in the Britannia, no stairs in the mid section, the pool area way too small for the amount of people. There was no atmosphere on the ship, three times we could not get into the Live Lounge as the timings with the theatre were not good. Sitting in the so called atrium was likened to Meadowhall shopping Centre in Sheffield by one passenger we spoke to. Without exception, everyone we spoke to were not happy with the ship. Apart from the 4Tunes and one lady singer, the entertainment was dire. One so called musical dealt with The Wizard of Oz and Snow White, how does that fit in with the majority of people being middle aged. Taking us to Isla Margarita was a mistake, it was a dump were we had a police escort, scary. Our cabin boy was lovely and we rewarded him well as we had opted out of the compulsory gratuities plan, a cheek in my opinion, as a tip or gratuity is voluntary reward for a job well done and not an automatic right. This is another Americanism foisted on us. P & O should pay their staff better. The food was acceptable but that was all, I heard it called mundane. On one occasion in the Horizon, if you did not like Indian food, then you could not eat. I have had issues with P&O in the past, we gave them a second chance , new ship etc., opinion now confirmed, never again.
