Cruising, wheelchair user
Keel hauled | December 13, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
Loved Britannia, open minded as always, I accept the fact that things from a wheelchair are never as easy as for mobile people.
Britannia was great, plenty of manoeuvre spa??e in bars and restaurants including the buffet area. . Smooth floors, enough room to pass laundry trolleys in corridors, although I think a wide chair would struggle. Lifts were quite small, for such a large ship, but enough warning they were arriving, with a fast moving husband pushing me.
Ramps and electric doors most places, even into the gym where you could watch able bodied people use the equipment! Moto med or Medicotech provide such equipment for use from a wheelchair it would be a cruise ship first. How about it P & O.
Cabin and bathroom great, balcony rather narrow but adequate. No stairs midship, so everyone using the lifts there.
Food all good that we had, all in all very impressed. Booked a week for next year.
