Not the best P&O ship

We have travelled on most of the P&O ships, and looked forward to this cruise ship, the mechanics of the Britannia were excellent, and probably the best, smoothest and most stable ship afloat.

The fit-out, however, was something different our cabin balcony was so tiny you could not turn the chair around, and the cabin was the smallest we have ever been in, it was however kept clean throughout the cruise.

The theatre was similar to the other ships; the seating was not as comfortable; and was much smaller cheaper seating.

The whole ship was cold, The Crows Nest, the studio, atrium and theatre all well cold everywhere, it was like a floating iceberg, I did mention it at reception, I’m not sure that any notice was taken, and for someone who is always hot this was surprising.

The food was P&O’s normal excellent quality and restaurant service was to match.

The Headliners entertainment was less than average by comparison, but people new to cruising thought it was ok,

The Crows Nest is where many passengers go for a quite read, however there were no tea/coffee/ soft drinks facilities available until 5.0pm such a pity, it’s several decks to go to get one.

We had another cruise booked on this ship in the New Year but decided to transfer it to another ship,

All in all a disappointing ship in our opinion, however we did enjoy the Mediterranean. Sorry, it’s a bit of a whinge but that’s how we found it, never again!
