Pleasant Surprise

After reading so many negatives reviews I have to say I was not expecting much . Having just returned from A Princess Cruise I thought it would be a hard cruise to follow . Embarkation smooth, about 30 min wait even though we did arrive early.
Cabin ready and what a surprise not as small as I thought it would be . Shower great no nasty shower curtain. Balcony yes small but plenty of room to sit and enjoy a glass of wine ( [email protected] allow you to bring a few bottles on board for consumption in your cabin )
Food excellent and lots of choice at breakfast (real bacon ), lunch also excellent with a wide choice to suit everyone. We opted for freedom dining which suited us and never had to wait for more than 10 minutes for a table for 2. Food in the restaurant was also excellent.
The ship is a little bland but contemporary and soothing and we did miss the promenade deck for a nice walk around. The top deck was often windy and not pleasant to work around.
Drinks on board were pub prices with a bottle of wine from ?œ 15 to 18. Pint of lager at ?œ4.50.
All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and above all very polite .
What I did notice was how clean the whole ship was along with the staff.
Entertainment varied something for everyone.

Would I go on [email protected] again without hesitation, especially Britannia.
