Shambolic Check In

Today I returned form a staycation trip on Britannia. Lovely ship, excellent food and entertainment and there it stops!
The checkin took over 3hrs, moving from queuing area to queuing area, repeating information that had been provided online beforehand.
My main issue is the MyHoliday app which P&O require you to download and use, wherever possible. This app is useless. Half of the time it is not working and when it is it somehow cancelled all of my pre-booked show bookings. The staff are obviously fed up with it, as everyone was complaining about how ineffective it was.
I had chosen second sitting for dinner before joining the ship, which was confirmed, only to be told at dinner that evening that they are currently not doing first or second sitting, only Freedom dining. Some evenings the wait was over an hour for a table. This is not acceptable.
I am SO pleased that the cruise lines are back in service and understand that things have to change, but they also have to work! This really was a disappointing cruise, with the exception of the food and entertainment. If you don’t mind queuing and waiting for tables, then you won’t be too concerned by this review.
I am a well travelled cruise passenger and look forward to cruising again, hopefully when these glitches are rectified or replaced with normal conditions.
