Summer in the med on Britannia
samantha Glover-yorke | September 12, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
This ship is leading the way in my opinion, it has so many improvements compared to the other ships. The biggest improvement for me was the style and layout of the buffet. Much less chaotic in there and whilst it was busy as the ship was full, I never struggled to find a seat. The Grab and go area is also a very good addition to the ships I was very impressed with this.
My only complaint would be the food in the main dining room. This was average at best, everything really lacked seasoning, and colour and the pudding selections were just a bit rubbish. None of the old favourites such as soufflés, the hot selection was always a bit disappointing. This is sad for me as it’s the one time of the year I let myself enjoy such treats, so I was disappointed with this perspective.
The cabin was glorious, it felt spacious and light, it could just do with a few more shelves/draws, with a family of 4 we struggled for places to put things. I would recommend the ship if you like the larger family ships, it was perfect for my young family.
