A few glitches but still enjoyable
LINDA FREAKLEY | January 9, 2023 | P&O Cruises | Iona
The ship was full and therefore we expected some delays. Our check in was quick and the suitcases arrived about an hour later. The main problem was the app and booking restaurants. Freedom dining created problems with seemingly too many passengers wanting to eat at the same time. We overcame this problem with either eating earlier or much later. One frustration was after booking, the app froze and then the booking disappeared. Fortunately this only happened to us twice. The children’s entertainment was very good but scheduling could have been better as there were occasions when two similiar events were on at the same time.
On the positive side the cabin steward was very helpful, a minor cabin problem was sorted within the hour and the food was good.
We particularly liked the fact that the Captain was able to re-schedule the itinerary, due to port strikes and bad weather, to Ports that gave us the best weather and opportunities to explore.
