Be prepared
Doug Arterton | September 19, 2022 | P&O Cruises | Iona
I write this with some sadness, I have been on the Iona 3 times since the end of lock down and the last one was below standard what we had come expect on the Iona. The first thing I have to say is the ship is brilliant light, space and layout you cannot fault. Food brilliant. Restaurant or shall I say kitchen service let them down. Every evening meal from start to finish took two and a half hrs. Waiting staff were embarrassed apologising for the delay, shortage of staff and poaching of staff by other cruise companies.
Entertainment was well below standard on this trip Headliners did 3 nights, a girl singer two nights. Our biggest complaint was the volume it was excessive, the girl singer shouted for most of her set, I am an old rocker and I am used to loud music, had to leave. We love our cruising don’t think we will go on the Iona again. P&O need to practice handling 5000 guests.. Next cruise 5 weeks on Ventura
