First Time Cruise

This was our first time cruising and in general we enjoyed our trip.
The weather was excellent and we enjoyed exploring the ship and thought the food and restaurant service was very good. All in all we thought the restaurant staff did a great job and couldn’t fault them.
Limelight lounge with Joe McElderry was excellent, as was Beach House and Olive Grove.
Not sure if the ship could take many more passengers – we gathered it was no where near full but felt very busy to us and we had to queue for the dining room. Didn’t venture to Horizon after day one …. felt like a Premier Inn on a bad day.
The views of the Fjords were beautiful and the scenery great. Not sure the excursions were worth the money, but you live and learn!
Booked a couple of treatments in the Spa which would have been lovely without the hard sell both of extra treatments and products before and after….. very off putting and defeated the whole point of having a relaxation treatment.
Also frustrated that the Covid testing was scrapped for our sailing just a couple of days before hand after we had already purchased the tests….Then came home with COVID (after spending a day on a coach trip being coughed over by the guy in the seat behind us!!!)
All this when UK Covid cases are soaring…. madness.
Allotted disembarkation was a joke as we waited patiently like mugs for 2 hours to leave at our allotted time, only to find ourselves in the packed luggage area and massive queue to leave.
Would I cruise again? Not sure – think it would need to be a smaller ship….
