Iona Cruise

I cannot compliment P&O and their crew for a better cruise, the Ship – Iona is fantastic, blight, light and airy. The restaurants and bars are great with a mix of servings at different bars. Entertainment is excellent and the addition of the 710 club is a winner. At the Limelight club there is an array of entertainment along with a superb meal however the best thing about the Limelight Club is after the meal and show finish and the bar opens up to be a kinda club, the band that play (mainly female), called – you’ve guessed it – The Limelight’s are brilliant and the lead singer is tremendous.
The Ship sailed from Southampton with a shortage of some drinks (this is down to the shortage of delivery drivers and not the fault of P&O) however we had the drinks package and whilst some drinks are not available on the package we found no problem in finding, getting and being served drinks – a very pleasurable experience all round. Yes some people might be put off buy the rules i.e. no doubles, 15 drinks per day, 15 mins between service but they are there to ensure all have an enjoyable voyage.
As a Sales and Marketing man, If I was designing the ship again, I would put a little more decal into making the bars have a little more identity – the glass house, keel and Cow, Emerald etc could be more identity specific rather than all merging into one however that said the cruise experience on the P&O Iona is fantastic and I look forward to sail on her again
