Iona staycation

Our first P&O cruise and we had a great week on board Iona. The ship is beautiful luxurious decor and lovely venues. It felt very safe and comfortable and most people conformed with the COVID rules. The staff worked hard to give great service but at times it felt like they were not all working as a team. The app for booking a table for dinner was terrible we eventually found an alternative to using the app. Y going to the dining room for a bleeper, booking a table for 2 was difficult I felt that there were not enough tables for 2 given these times when guests are not allowed to sit with guests they are travelling with.
We purchased the ultimate drinks package which in our opinion was far too limiting, I felt I was constantly being told sorry you can’t have that on your package eg I could not have a premium fever tree tonic with my gin, I could not have a ‘large’ coke but could have had a pint of lager nor could I order a drink costing more than £6.95 and pay the difference! Whilst we appreciate there has to be a cap this was silly other cruise lines offer much better drinks packages.
The entertainment was excellent and the variety of entertainment was good, we visited the thermal spa and had treatments these were excellent too!
Our balcony cabin was spacious and very comfortable, thank you Edgar for taking care of us!
All in all a good week with teaching problems!!
