Nice but not what was exspected
John Day | November 5, 2022 | P&O Cruises | Iona
Firstly, being disabled passengers we did not get the usual P&O arrival and were expected to unload and park our car very difficult when on crutches. The walk back from the far reaches of the car park in a very heavy down pour meant I was soaked before getting into the terminal.
The P&O standards we are used to were not there. No evening cabin steward or chocolate. The freedom dining was a farce the onboard app was rubbish.
First night onboard in Horizon buffet no help offered, so had to carry tray with hot food and find a table, we were unable to get in main dining rooms.
The tours we had booked were a waste of money and one coach was totally unsuitable as was the guide. The other two were not much better one having the route changed due to rain, so we got a tour of the suburbs instead of what we had hoped for.
Had we known about some of the things we were not expecting we would not have booked this cruise for our 39th wedding anniversary it was totally a waste.
The ship is not particularly suitable for disabled unless in a wheelchair, too big.
