Felt short changed. Did not get what was advertised. When booking there were 5 stops in a 7 day cruise. One was cancelled prior to departure and another the night before landing. This apparently was due to a mechanical fault with the 2year old ship we were on. Limped back to Southampton early.
We were compensated with £100 on board spend. This had to be spent on the ship there and then. Obviously the spa, speciality restaurants quickly filled up. Not much for 4 in a cabin!
The entertainment team were non existent. Atmosphere and fun were lacking. Even the sail away party did not happen as the music failed and the singer walked away. There were plenty of people on deck awaiting with their drinks.
Having cruised a lot, can categorically say this was the worst.
Booking on the app was also a nightmare, as most of the time it was not working thus failed to access restaurants we would have liked to have eaten in. Informed by staff they were unable to take verbal bookings.
Entertainment was poor with shows being repeated 2 or 3 times during the week.
We were a party of 14, including 6 children. It was the 1st holiday as a family, with a couple flying from Argentina to be there.
I expect some of the changes were due to covid, lack of staff, but come on P&O, you need to do better . Or you will lose loyal customers.
There was a lot of grumbling on board.
