Back to the Indie for me
Larry Ward | December 25, 2019 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
12 nights on the Ventura, but never again. The single cabins, where the Tapas Bar were, all have a constant creak, a bit like having honeymooners next door 24 hours a day. It took 4 visits from the ships carpenter before reception would have a listen, then I was told it’s the ship’s design … what? Anyway, after kicking off they finally moved my daughter.
Freedom Dining doesn’t exist. One formal night we walked out. We’d waited 45 minutes for a table, then another hour for dinner that was poorly presented and cold. Staff were too busy clearing away for the next day to even listen. Service is poor at the best of time. P&O should give up on ‘silver service’ … staff don’t know how to do it.
Entertainment consisted of losers from the first round of Britain’s Got Talent, and relics from the 60’s.
No one smiles (cabin staff excepted, they’re brilliant !!), senior staff (especially Reception) are surly, and downright unfriendly. The boat is just no fun !
Never again …. I’m back to RC and the Indie.
