Disappointing short break
Rachel Johnson | December 7, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
Having previously cruised with Princess cruises I had anticipated a wonderfully indulgent weekend with attentive staff, unfortunately this was not the case.
The cabin maid introduced herself to us and explained she was there should we need anything, she was however unable to advise if the water in the cabin was safe for tea/coffee making….
I am on a gluten free diet, I have not seen such poor gluten free bread in many years. I did not recognise the white ball as a bread roll, surely for such a big cruise provider they could identify and supply a more appetizing choice.
I found the food disappointing, certainly not of the standard I had expected, also portions were small.
There was limited organization of embarking and the day in Bruges.
Overall the whole weekend was more akin to Butlins on-board rather than a relaxing weekend.
It has put me off P&O…. next time I q go back to Princess cruises or Celebrity.
