FEARS TOTALLY UNFOUNDED

Having always cruised out of Southampton & always on Oriana, Aurora, Artemis & Adonia we were full of trepidation doing a fly cruise on a very large ship. Needless to say our fears were totally unfounded and can only applaud P & O for their fantastic organisation. From the moment we checked -in at Gatwick everything went so smoothly with plenty of assistance & people on hand to direct you. Ventura was in lovely condition & we never seemed to notice the number of people on board, which totally amazed us. We had a deluxe balcony cabin which was very much larger & better equipped than on the ships listed above. The food was excellent, the service on board from ALL the staff was super & the onboard entertainment was the best we have ever had on a cruise. Special mention must go to the Headliners who put on 6 absolutely fantastic shows. I must just add that we never eat in the self-service restaurants & always dine in the dining rooms where it is relaxed & quiet. The speciality restaurant East (Atul Kochar) was fantastic with impeccable service & food, unfortunately we cannot say the same of The White Room (Marco Pierre White) which turned out to very disappointing & certainly not worth the ?œ25.00p.p. cover charge. We usually arrange our own trips ashore but there were always shuttle buses available.
We would certainly have no hesitation in doing another fly-cruise with P.& O.
