Jacqueline | December 9, 2020 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
Our third time on Ventura , and how standards have fallen.Whole ship seemed tatty, carpets and soft furnishings soiled.Food below par. Buffet was cold and sparse. Main evening meals were inferior, gristle steak and pot luck if they were good puddings.First night we were not offereds cheese and biscuits , and disembarcation day we were ignored when requesting coffee at breakfast due to staff wanting us out.Staff on board were surely and out tomake money from coffees at the Costa areas. We were actually told to move from a what we thought was a public seating and table because although I had a coke my husband did not and was reading. He was told to go read in the library. In the cabin the TV showed just news on a loop or 3 sports channels. The TV was down for two days !Entertainment was so loud I left theatre because it was so distorted.Tips were listed as ?3,95 on website but they charge ?4, not a lot more but no notification .
All in all the worse cruise we ever had and we have had a few ! I used to recomend P&O but after this I tell people to avoid them.No wonder they are cheap , but all quality , service and standards are too low.Goodbye P&O .
