New Year Cruise 29th December

On the evening of sailing we were surprised to be told there was no service without explanation. There were no flannels in the bathroom
We booked a three section trip around Hamburg which turned out to be a major disappontment. particularily the third section, the guide informed us that on New Years Eve all shops and cafes and public toilets close at 2pm. This left with nothing to do for over an hour except search for a toilet!!
By contrast our our trip in Belgium was very enjoyable and everything that we neede was easy to find.
We were also shocked that we had to pay VAT on purchases because we hadn’t left the EU.
They changed one of the chairs in cabin which wass not designed to sit on for any length of time consequently there was only one sort of comfortable chair!
