New Years Cruise

New Years cruise to Hamburg and Bruges. Overall we had a very enjoyable cruise. This was our 3rd time on Ventura and our 6th time on P and O. It was our 16th cruise and for the first time we had an inside cabin as it was only a 5 night cruise.

The bed was very comfy and the room was good. We had Freedom Dining and never had to wait too long for a shared table. The food choice was excellent and we enjoyed all the meals. We had the set breakfast each morning. The wait wasn’t too long and the food was good. Used the spa and both of us had a massage. Excellent and very enjoyable. Entertainment was good and 2 up to date films each day. The fireworks display in Hamburg was excellent. We did the same cruise last year and we preferred Oceana. We feel there has been a cut back on staff numbers. It is difficult to get a drink in the entertainment venues and long wait times. The few waiters take lots of orders and it takes a long time for your drink to appear. The staff don’t seem as happy as they use to. Is this because their tips have been removed? Overall very and very enjoyable and have booked up again for the next New Year.
