Opportunity to excel

Just returned from our fourth trip on Ventura and already planning for next year! This review is based on previous experiences and is written with 5 stars in mind rather than the four it will currently receive. We travelled with friends and had a fantastic holiday and would like to make some suggestions to make the experience even better. We chose to upgrade our travel to premium and having paid ?œ500 for the pleasure were rather disappointed to be asked to pay ?œ3.00 for a small carton of Pringle crisps on the plane and to be told when requesting another bag of pretzels that we had had “our quota.” We fully appreciate that in difficult trading conditions, P&O are looking to expand their reach and client base to make cruising more accessible. At the same time, when you enjoy formal dining, it is anticipated that formal dining standards are maintained for everyone. After all, there are other options available for those who do not enjoy “dressing up.” It was therefore disappointing to note that there were people in the dining room during formal dining wearing t-shirts and training shoes. Only saw one person challenged who was wearing combat shorts and sandals. We are looking forward to our next cruise very much and have no doubts that the Ventura experience will be as good as ever. This feedback is provided with a five star experience in mind!
