P & O fail to measure up!!
Paul Batchelor | December 21, 2013 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
We decided to give P & O another try after being disappointed with them on Arcadia about 10 years ago. Our principal issue then was concerning the staff “take it or leave it attitude” and unfortunately it hasn’t changed. With very few exceptions they simply do not appear to enjoy their jobs and tending to passengers is a real chore. Another annoying trait is the habit of bar and restaurant staff to talk in their own language to each other. It is evident that 90+% of passengers are British and they should therefore be instructed to speak English when on duty. P & O have a lot to learn on on-board customer care from the likes of Celebrity, Royal Caribbean etc. it was interesting, and amusing, that people we met who sang the praises of P & O had never sailed with any other cruise company!!!!!
On a positive note embarkation and disembarkation arrangements were brilliant. Thompson’s Dreamliner was also a superb flying experience.
