Penny Pinching

Fantastic holiday. Great ship with service and facilities to match. Couldn’t really complain about anything but if you look hard and have used P&O before we noticed some small changes which smack of “penny pinching”
The buffet was more or less the same every night, great if you like a roast or a curry! What happened to the country themed nights? Italian, Chinese, Seafood, Mexican evenings? Hardly any fresh fish on board! Afternoon tea was also the same every day.
In the main restaurants the food was limited. There are now no extra veg served and the “cheeseboard” is 4 small squares of what they decide to give you. So not really a “cheeseboard” also gone is the nice bowl of stilton they usually have hidden for those who know to ask for it!
The Headliners, although still being brilliant, they performed less shows than we have seen before in 2 weeks, and the quality of other performers were below par apart from Peter Grant.
Worst of all, we had to argue to keep the second, free, small bottle of water they leave you in the room for my mother, who had paid double for a single occupancy!!!!
The big things they do well……………..its the small things that get noticed and are starting to let P&O down. Stop it! we are not all daft!
