P&O Ventura

A huge disappointment! Ventura cabins are so very tired now. Otherwise: 1. Had our choice of cabin moved to one we would not have chosen Bolsover we’re fabulous trying to help but P&O displayed absolutely no understanding at all. 2. The dinner service was erratic: one day each course delivered so quickly you’d hardly finished the starter and dinner was there or the waiter wanting the desert order but another day it could take 40 minutes for a course to arrive! 3. We were instructed to mandatorily wear masks half way through the cruise. We should have had a choice! There was a mini outbreak of Covid (not the ship’s fault) of about 8% of total people on board. It was a farce! We could sit super close to a stranger if we had a drink but couldn’t walk to our cabin without a mask. 4. The buffet meals were far superior to the restaurant meals. 5. Getting a table for buffet was almost impossible- oooo could be because the restaurant food was well below par. BUT – had a meal in Sindu – excellent 10/10 for food, service and seating. A huge bonus as it was in my husband’s 65th birthday. Finally, we will be trying another cruise line. Bolsover Cruise Club staff were excellent the whole way through from booking, having our cabin changed (unnecessarily as it happened!) to coming home.
