Spain and Portugal

This was my first cruise and first time abroad. Boarding the Ventura was made very easy by the staff at the cruise terminal. On board the ship during the cruise,the Captain kept us well informed on what was happening ,the ship was very clean and all the crew I met were all pleasant and friendly. The food on the Ventura was excellent and the waiters couldn’t do enough for you. The facilities onboard were excellent always something to do . We had four ports of call Vigo where we visited a National Trust island through P and O tours which is a lovely place to visit. Then onto Lisbon which I personally thought was dour and looked a bit rundown. We should have called at Porto but due to inclement weather we could not stop so we had a day at sea which was quite relaxing and nice to see dolphins swimming alongside . Our final port was La Corunna we found this to be clean and tidy with some nice beaches and shops and would like to return there sometime. For any first time cruisers out there I would recommend Bolsover Cruise Club strongly ,the help and information from the staff was first class . Date of holiday April 7th to April 14th 2013
