Christie McKay | February 6, 2014 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
When we saw Ventura at Southampton we were a little overwhelmed by her size and wondered if we would feel crowded by so many people on board, we need not have worried. The organisation was superb, in our cabins as soon as we were on board. met by our steward. Off to explore, it was a 14day trip but it took us three days to find our way around!! It was a happy ship in no small measure due to the Captain Simon Terry who we saw on many occasions chatting to passengers. Our best experience was the Epicurean Restaurant, top class, fun and definitely a showstopper for the theatre of the service,(the wonderful and knowledgeable Karen) we sat outside with the twinkling lights of the harbour in the background, superb! All the staff were excellent without exception. the trip to Fire Mountain was great fun, with geysers, fire and hot grains put into your hands, and the awesome landscape of Lanzarote was like nothing I have seen before. It was Definitely a great cruise and recommended!!!
