Well where to start? I can’t believe how much the cut backs have affected the way it’s ruined me and my son supposedly luxury cruise which cost many thousands of pounds may I add, we have waited with baited breath for this holiday to come, we have been loyal cruisers to p&o for many many years and after my husbands passing 2 years ago I didn’t think I would bother cruising ever again, but my dear son loves P&O and wants to keep travelling so ok no problem? So we thought !! we have a cruise booked for October back to the Caribbean and it’s been booked a very long time, but after experiencing the comedy of errors on this ship Ventura I honestly think p&o have let us down terrible, but we have paid heavily for it, never ever have we experienced people getting stabbed and put off the ship by police also the ship running out of supply’s decaf coffee, ice cubes in milk to water it down, portions of food was a joke and everyone was fed up with the food that was put out, the same stuff each day with absolutely no taste what so ever !!!! We know that this is not the way p&o conduct there self, it just lets them down so very badly, we were speaking in groups of people and we were saying perhaps it is time that we look at other cruise lines and get what we pay for in value, which p&o aways gave their loyal customers, so please what’s happened here ????? Comedians walking off the stage? Caribbean band that said they can only play abba ???? THIS WAS A XMAS AND NEW YEAR CRUISE TO THE CARRIBEAN ?? But it really was a load of rubbish, the best thing about the cruise was the band rats in the kitchen, but they was only on 3 days, not bad out of 35 days it’s all such a shame and very sad even the midnight mass Xmas Eve was so disorganised it was shameful, we was all seated for 11-15 in the theatre it was packed, but the organisation of it was absolutely ridiculous we finally got to bed at 2am going straight back to our cabins. Most of the people caught the bugs and flu ok it happens !!! but to be told after asking for a jacket potato because I wasn’t well for 6 days and I just started to get my appetite back again that I was only allowed a 1/4 of a potato and a 1/4 of a small butter pat by one of the kitchen staff, he said there was not enough for everyone. So I just cried and if I could have flown back home I would have but I have heart disease that’s why I have always cruised 27 years, I don’t think for a minute anyone will read this, but if I live in hope. So P&O, carnival, Americans whoever owns the cruise line now please look at what you’re doing with all these cutbacks. We are British and deserve better than this, thank you!
