Ventura- unlikely to repeat.
Grant Monahan | March 12, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
I had a good deal price-wise and liked the itinerary but was slightly dubious about P&O’s larger ships. Service, food and cleanliness were fine but it was almost impossible to find anywhere quiet and peaceful to read. P&O libraries are a joke! On Ventura, it is open to all the atrium noise and had five chairs which seemed to be occupied by sleeping passengers most of the time. The lifts were hopeless and nearly always crowded. The dress code appeared to be completely ignored and nobody made any effort to enforce it. The atrium was nearly always busy and noisy and too small to use for the formal night dances. All in all, I don’t think I would book any P&O larger ship again and I shudder to think what Iona with 5,200 passengers will be like! Overall, I would rate my experience as 6.5 out of 10.
