Vigo at 5pm on a Sunday?
Pamela Barnes | June 12, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
I have read some of the other reviews on the May 11th cruise. Having written to P&O I was waiting for a reply before I added our review but no reply as yet. The idea of going to Vigo at 5pm on a cold, miserable Sunday was ridiculous! If that was the best alternative they could come up with maybe they should get some new staff who might come up with some more, imaginative contingency plans. It was their fault we were late leaving Southampton. It didn’t help that the weather in Cadiz was going to be excellent (unlike cold, miserable Vigo). Oh, we were offered a FREE glass of sparkling wine!
Must also say that the ship didn’t feel like a ship which had just had a refit. In some areas P & O have improved but certainly not in their ability to ‘think outside the box’.
On our last cruise with them we were barred from entering a French port and their solution was to wander aimlessly around the Channel for a day with very little thought given to an alternative or extra activities. I’m afraid P&O will not be top of our list for our next cruise.
