We prefer a smaller ship

We did the 35 night USA and Caribbean cruise. We had an enjoyable adventure and particularly enjoyed south beach and ocean drive in Miami.
Food was generally good. Entertainment was good in parts but not so good at other times with too many repetitive comedians. Service was very good.
A disappointment for us was the lack of space for evening entertainment. The approximate size 800 guest theatre was not enough for 3,000 guests and the Havana lounge was badly designed with poor views of the stage area. The “pub” area was too small, squeezed between one arm bandits and a dozen or so cabins which apparently have added.
Another little niggle was the location of the art class held high on deck 18(Metropole) over the edge of the aft of the ship. This was not a sensible choice as in rough weather it was impossible to draw or paint properly especially if your pot of water falls over. I think they should have held it in the Sindhu restaurant area which had lots of space both in the day and in the evening when there were very few people in there.
Our New Orleans visit was spoiled because we didn’t get ashore until 3pm after standing queueing for an hour and a half. The larger the ship then the longer it takes.
We still enjoyed our cruise but I think for our next cruise we will choose a smaller ship.
