wonderful cruise – but

Seven Seas navigator is a lovely ship with wonderful crew who really look after you. Sailing to and from Miami though is not something i would repeat. Two days before returning home we had a shock to find that we had to disembark the ship by 9.00am an our flight home was at 9.00pm. We were offered a free Round the City tour and our luggage was in a secure place but this did not fill the other 10 hrs on that last day. We could have checked into a hotel in Miami for the day – at a price or made our own arrangements, again at a price.
WE plumped for the city tour but it was so hot and the bus was not allowed along Ocean Drive {although the map we were given showed this route] After a lunch in a hotel we walked to and from the bus we decided to transfer to the airport 5 hours before the flight.
Having travelled for many years with P&O to and from Barbados where you are allowed to stay on the ship, with all the facilities, air con, food etc we are not convinced that the higher priced cruise with Seven Seas offered the same care to two ‘ladies of a certain age’ . One other small point is that we also took the free excursions and they did not compare to the ones offered by P& O [ at an extra cost.] Comparing the experiences means I will go back to P&O for my next cruise.
