28th September 2015 cruise to canaries

ship was massive on approach but looks great, got to parking area all straight forward they took your bags straight from your boot tagged and you are directed to the terminal opposite check in I did online before we went so when we got there saw the team with iPads and was on the ship within five minutes!,checked in hours before we should have, the cabins weren’t ready until 1 pm so off to the bar for a swift on or two, when the cabins were ready we went down deck 8 mid ship great position nice room, the only down side was the wardrobe space for the ladies hanging dresses all squashed up you can probably get four dresses in the long section, loads of other storage but if the wife’s dresses are squashed and creased you don’t go anywhere!the ship was great the meal times were a bit of a disaster as it didn’t matter weather you had booked or like us we were on dynamic dining you still joined the que,I think they are still getting used to the system as its all done with iPads a lot of people complaining having to wait while they played about with them, then a waiter took you to the table then another waiter got your drinks then another waiter was trying to get everyone’s food in thier section, same me use got changed every 4 days but you could eat at a different restaurant each night but same menus or you had to look to alternate, first night was best dress!i phoned reception to see what this mental I thought tux!yes she said your suit tonight,so I donned my tux and went for dinner to find only around 20 people in suites!some were in shorts so after dinner off back to the room and changed, some of the staff on board were a little rude when asked information not I’ll find out just its not my department and walked off I think they were a little frustrated with the new system, show at the 270 bar was fantastic spectra but the show with curly watts in was a bit drab not our cup of tea, food I thought was good but the wife said every thing was salty,we booked the ultimate drinks package great if you want choice don’t know if we went over the allowance but didn’t have to worry every drink was included beer cocktails, wines, water pop Starbucks.
Going down the waters were a little rocky until we got down near morocco then they were like silk, who say the big ships you carnt feel the motion, you can still feel the rolling but not the up and down as much after all that large ship is only a dot on the seas!mthe ship handled the waters very well ,there was a ship coming up the coast as we were on our way to bilbo and that was nose diving the waves as we were riding 16foot swells from the hurricane from America the anthem glided through!
Overall ship was brilliant food ok great holiday now a distant memory!
